Job Description
Large financial investment bank seeks Fund accountant to analyze and report on daily activities and evaluations of hedge fund performance.
* This position is based in Jersey City
Job Responsibilities
- Calculate valuations for reporting to investors and reporting investor activities
- Analyze gains/losses and calculate performance fees
- Prepare cash and investment reconciliations
- Create, develop tests and reports and client website
- Daily reconciliation of cash between the accounting system and custodians
- Process unmatched trades and ensure that trades are corrected appropriately
- Liaise with clients to resolve reporting questions
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Must be strong in Excel (formulas, complex macros)
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Firm understanding of investment products (stocks and bonds, derivatives, swaps, options, futures and forwards)
- Very strong teamwork skills, must be able to share workload and juggle multiple projects in a deadline driven atmosphere
- Strong computer skills including PeopleSoft, MS Word, Excel
- Experience with the software Advent Geneva Preferred
Salary and Benefits
$28.00 - 32.00 per hour
