Edgar Supervisor required for our client who is a major law firm in New york to oversee the EDGAR department and manage EDGAR Specialists and EDGAR operators.

EDGAR SUPERVISOR
Role Accountabilities:
- Responsible for all EDGAR production needs. Coordinates intake of all new Edgar work and assignments, ensuring all deadlines are met, responds to inquires and potential issues with attorneys, and coordinates direct dealings with the SEC as necessary.
- Works with WP manager and corporate attorneys on the development of EDGAR policies and training opportunities.
- Responsible for all administrative tasks related to EDGAR including, but not limited to: reporting, billing, maintenance of work logs, etc. Maintains logs and completes work-related administrative tasks on a timely basis.
- Acts as internal Edgar trainer and firm Edgar education resource.
- Works closely and directly with department manager, supervisors, attorneys and staff to assist with all EDGAR needs, and advises on best practices to accomplish goals.
- Meets with corporate attorneys on a regular basis to gather feedback data and recommend new policies.
- Applies highly developed knowledge of SEC protocols and proactively embarks on continuous learning vis a vis SEC policies and procedures.
- Applies highly developed knowledge of SEC filing deadlines to daily EDGAR operations, informing staff and attorneys and making coverage arrangements accordingly.
- Keeps current on latest EDGAR technologies. Is proactive in giving recommendations to attorneys and WP department management.
- Produces work and executes filings in a timely and effective manner and demonstrates the ability to manage and oversee large and small EDGAR projects and bring them to successful completion. Effectively prioritizes workflow; thrives in a demanding, deadline-driven environment. Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and multi-tasking skills.
- Works with outside vendors and has solid knowledge of outside filing resources.
- Effective communicator, writer, team-player. Demonstrates highly evolved customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible in accepting job and department tasks, attending firm and department meetings and trainings, and is readily available for off-hours and alternative shift coverage, as needed.
- Is available 24/7 by phone, works from home if necessary, and consistently monitors EDGAR workflow during and off-hours via firm blackberry. Checks in every morning to ensure proper staffing. Modifies schedule as necessary to support work needs.
- Assists with additional administrative duties and special projects as needed and performs any other assigned duties.
Job Qualifications
- Must have an outstanding knowledge of all SEC policies and procedures for all form types and submissions.
- Expert proficiency in the EDGARizer software including Edgar Forms. Additionally, must be highly proficient in EdgarEase+, MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe. Solid knowledge of XBRL preferred.
- Exceptional knowledge in related EDGAR hardware/software (i.e., printers, scanners, PCs, document and database storage needs, Internet access and use, etc.).
Required Experience
- Strong management skills with a proven track record of managing and reviewing staff.
- Strong organizational skills and a proven track record of developing departments from the ground up. Highly skilled in creating and managing data and reporting of all kinds, and in process protocols (i.e. file naming protocols, QC, etc.). Excellent statistical and research skills.
- Diplomatic and customer service-based skills, including high-level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong writing skills and highly developed organizational, detail, and project-oriented skills.
- Punctual and accessible all hours of the day and night should that be necessary.
- Capably prioritizes workflow, with the ability to thrive in a demanding, deadline-driven environment. Ability to manage various projects with different deadlines and deliver a high-quality work product that raises the standard of EDGAR filing.
- Works effectively directly with attorneys and upper management, and within a team and shift environment.
Salary and Benefits
$80k plus bonus - Permanent Position
